I have found other posts with this (or similar) issue, but none have had solutions that worked for me.
Whenever opening a project in Unity 2020.1.3f1 (including brand new projects), I get the following error message immediately: "Copying assembly from 'Temp/UnityEngine.TestRunner.dll' to 'Library/ScriptAssemblies/UnityEngine.TestRunner.dll' failed"
Sometimes I get another one with it that is the same thing just with UnityEngine.UI.dll instead. Whenever I create a script, I get "Copying assembly from 'Temp/Assembly-CSharp.dll' to 'Library/ScriptAssemblies/Assembly-CSharp.dll' failed"
At least one of the errors on startup has occurred on every single launch and the script error has occurred every single time I've created a script.
I am running on Windows 10, and this is my first time trying to use Unity.
Things I have tried that have not worked:
-Restarting Unity (many, many times)
-Reinstalling Unity (a couple times)
-Installing an older version of Unity (2019.4.9f1)
-Disabling Antivirus software (I just have Windows Defender)
-Scanning for malware
-Reimporting pretty much everything
I am at a total loss here and in desperate need of assistance, I need this software for a class I am taking. Please help.
Update: I found I had a failing RAM stick, but even with it removed, I'm still getting these errors
